New and Crescent Moon

December 10 Monday With this Scorpio Moon, we may feel inclined to explore the deep cavernous space of our internal life which, in some ways, is like the Earth’s fertile soil where the seeds of future life are encapsulated and engaged in that mysterious process of creating something anew. Scorpio can be adept at mining the treasures buried within us. And that part of us can be keenly observant this afternoon, finding opportunities to advance psychologically. Scorpio often succeeds by letting intuition be the guide. Without the use of that function of the mind, we might end up in a deep mess. December 11 Tuesday The Scorpio Moon has returned to the degree of the last solar eclipse and this morning offers a penetrating view of underlying social patterns. At 6:08 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course, flushing off the piercing insights of Scorpio until this afternoon. Being inconspicuous during this time can be comforting. There may be a need for an intimate exchange. At 3:22 pm, MT, the Moon moves into comprehensive and assimilating Sagittarius. An impulse to belong may arise along with new criteria for organizing a social venture. At this time this is best explored in the same manner as if attempting to understand a dream. December 12 Wednesday On this last day of a lunation the Sagittarius Moon takes us deeper and deeper into the darkness of the gestating balsamic phase where the underlying powers of the unconscious mind begin to project the impulses of the next cycle. Signs of something new emerging are within our radar. Sagittarius has access to yet unborn information through psychic or intuitive hunches. This sign also fosters inner awareness, but it’s up to us to pay attention. We need to see things differently from the generally accepted view. Playing around imaginatively with ideas that just show up can help. December 13 Thursday We had a new Moon at 1:42 am, MT in the sign of Sagittarius. During this new phase the impulses to note are those about how we perceive the world’s inhabitants and overall condition as well as our attitudes and behavior regarding that worldview. Do we react with the best of intentions? Do we notice for the moment and then forget about those perceptions? Do we do anything in our immediate environment to clean up things? Since the beginning of this new phase the Sagittarius Moon has been voiding herself of that sign’s urges to increase something until 2:43 pm, when she enters the “do something” sign of Capricorn. December 14 Friday As we awake this morning with this Capricorn Moon, we may feel as if we just come out of dream in which we were fully engaged in an experience that provides a new direction for us to take in the physical world. We need to trust what is coming through to us from that hidden image-packed inner space. Ideas can come up whose time has come to act upon. Our minds can be anticipating what needs to happen, but it’s best to remember that sometimes one’s mindset can lead to a slippery slope. Can you trust it with no doubts? Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. December 15 Saturday This Capricorn Moon reflects on memories of accomplishments done out of love, and gathers all of one’s sub-personalities to assess what is personally being done to clear out toxicity both internally and externally. The Moon goes void of course at 2:15 pm, MT, for thirty-eight minutes of shoveling off all-or-nothing Capricorn. At 2:53 pm, she moves into the seemingly erratic actions of Aquarius. What may appear as aloofness can be this sign’s inward retreat for self-knowledge. On Sunday at 7:33 am, the Moon enters her crescent phase when persistent effort is needed to make an impact triggered by the impulses to clean up something. It’s like moving through a crowded fair today, however, to gather the forces needed.
