First Quarter and Gibbous Moon

February 18 Monday With this Gemini Moon we may feel from within or experience from without irritability. Conversations seem short and inhibited by some hidden forces or conditions. Information is withheld, and many individuals, including oneself, appear to withdraw from sharing much. Saturn goes retrograde this morning, camouflaging a need to maintain control of seeking one’s own way. Thinking about what to do is frustrating, and speaking about it near impossible. Acting on intuition may become confusing, but caution can help one maneuver successfully. February 19 Tuesday This Gemini Moon brings a chummy rapport to many gatherings. With the Moon going void of course at 11:48 am, MT, such acceptance of others can continue for the rest of the day if ideas, beliefs, or visions are shared. There is, however, the possibility, that any compatibility is simply one’s imagination, or that one is being conned. It’s not morally advisable to con others. Confusion of any sort is a clue, suggesting indecisiveness at least until tomorrow. A voiding Gemini Moon is often accompanied by an overload of external stimuli which can leave one overwhelmed. February 20 Wednesday With this Cancer Moon one might feel as if stuck within a shell where nothing seems to be happening. But if time is spent looking within for signs of vitality, a source of energy can be tapped that takes us on a spiritual journey. Individual differences and eccentricities get pointed out. Our personal efforts to split off from conventional ways and expectations show up in situations which can potentially box us in. Escape routes get scrutinized. Reality is reworked. Reframing the lack of boundaries into many get-away portals, can be a tremendous boost to dreaming new experiences into reality. February 21 Thursday This Cancer Moon offers the motivation to explore the multiple rivers of one’s inspiration. At 4:44 pm, MT, the Moon enters her gibbous phase in which there’s a need to bind one’s creative endeavors tightly together to bring out the expert who can be applauded. It’s possible today to synchronize the rhythms of one’s feelings and thoughts. When they dance together, it is easier to drawn others into our creative explorations. At 7:08 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course until tomorrow afternoon. While she is washing off the longings of Cancer, we can easily slip into our ideal dream world. February 22 Friday The Cancer Moon is void of course until this afternoon. During this time we may feel buffeted around by our emotions. Maintaining boundaries, screening out distractions, and defending our actions may be difficult. Reality seems elusive. At 3:12 pm, MT, the Moon moves into ageless and seriously-playful Leo. This afternoon can be full of surprises. Some may come from the performer in us and others from good friends. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. February 23 Weekend This Leo Moon brings a celebratory spirit, one that feels like dancing through the activities of the day. There can also be a strong need for attention. The Leo part of us wants to be loved and admired. On Sunday connections can be made which fill us with enthusiasm. Instincts tell us to let go of usual inhibitions to follow one’s heart. A conscious joie de vivre circulates. Giving pleasure to others generates gratitude, and all sorts of associations get released, creating an invigorating feedback loop. At 9:50 pm, MT, Sunday, the Moon voids herself of upbeat Leo for two hours before entering the earthly magic of Virgo.
