Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

March 4 Monday With this Sagittarius Moon intellectual alchemy seems to be at work. If we connect the dots between recent insights and bits of alluring information, we can discover some deeper truths about our creative process. At 2:53 pm, MT, the Moon enters her last quarter phase, when our minds seem to percolate with the value of personal discoveries made during this cycle. The verifications we get of how we either go by the book or step out of the mold when pursuing some original activity are meant to provide the support to change the way we perceive those behaviors. March 5 Tuesday With this Sagittarius Moon a spirit of restlessness to do something with recent realizations permeates the morning. And then at 8:28 am, MT, a torrent of feelings seems to disperse energy as the Moon begins to void herself of adventurous Sagittarius until late this afternoon. We may feel ungrounded, but our imaginations can take off on a rich and rewarding journey. At 5:13 pm, the Moon moves into sure-footed Capricorn, and we can easily gather the resources needed to fulfill what we envisioned during the void of course Moon. Capricorn can patiently map out a plan and execute it. March 6 Wednesday The Capricorn Moon respects and honors ideals accomplished. A state of appreciation sets a pleasant tone for advancing social wellbeing. There is, however, a competitive spirit in regulated situations. Knowing and following the rules enhance a sense of empowerment. Tensions can be worked out by sticking with preferences. Determination and loyalty are the currency of the day. Capricorn can be intolerant and set in ways if too rigid. If the Capricorn in us takes the role of a patient parent or teacher, helpfulness and caring can prevail. March 7 Thursday This Capricorn Moon brings the burden of many tasks to complete before 2:14 pm, MT, when the Moon goes void of course for six hours. While the Moon is shedding the armor of the tough Capricorn goat, it’s best to loosen up and unwind. The secure, familiar structures in daily procedures seem to crumble, to become unstable. It’s futile to pretend it’s business as usual. It’s best to reduce expectations. At 8:01 pm, the Moon moves into innovative Aquarius. Sometimes urges to disrupt and upset the existing order of things shows up with this sign. March 8 Friday The Aquarius Moon entered her balsamic phase in the early morning. It’s time to take everything learned about how one goes about creative acts and use it to shift into an internal receptive visionary mode. Tinkering with images in a lateral thinking way can awaken some brilliant ideas, unveiling magical moments. At 3:08 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course until Saturday night. While she is rinsing off the inventive waves of Aquarian thinking, a sense of what’s beyond rushes into our minds. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. March 9 Weekend The Moon is voiding herself of the intuitive flashes and spurts of Aquarius until late tonight. It’s a struggle to stick with one topic to the point of satisfaction. Getting to the core of a subject takes effort. Being open to imagination that lets in some fresh ideas can be rewarding. At 11:19 pm, MT, the Moon moves into the inspiring and stimulating waters of Pisces. Floating along with the flow of images as if fishing can provide some material to mull over. This can be used to pass some tests of one’s capacity to shoulder the challenge of opening one’s consciousness to new understandings of one’s present reality.
