Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

April 1 Monday The Sagittarius Moon is void of course until late tonight. With this Moon we can travel in our minds to the edges of our beliefs about new things and the responsibilities they bring. For example, consider the innovations which came with the smart phone. How has your behavior changed in regard to them? Do you let advances in communication technology direct your life, or do you control how much of it is invited into your day and for what purposes? Remember when there were no answering machines attached to phones? Could you live without instant means of connecting like you did back then? It’s a good day for pondering. April 2 Tuesday With this Capricorn Moon we may tap into principles which we use to determine the value or lack thereof regarding some new behavior we might adopt. These often hidden influences can help us measure the feasibility and durability of what we’re considering. We may also see how some of our guiding rules are intimately intertwined with some of our most intense feelings. At 10:36 pm, MT, the Moon enters her last quarter phase when a change, at least in attitude if not in action, is asked of us in the form of some kind of tension brought on by our present interpretation of certain habits. April 3 Wednesday The Capricorn last quarter Moon went void of course early this morning until tomorrow. While she is shaking off the high standards of Capricorn, we may feel the strong boundaries of this sign slip away, leaving us exposed to all sorts of impositions. Things that seemed firm either dissolve or disappear. It’s hard to know what’s for real during a Capricorn voiding Moon. Some people might keep repeating the same tasks. Many activities seem meaningless. With this Capricorn Moon, we may lack certainty and feel doubtful about any options. The best guidance comes from within, not from externals. April 4 Thursday This Aquarius Moon offers an innovative spirit to make changes that keep things current. Opportunities awaken from within. There’s the capacity to bring to pass what is long overdue. Getting in tune with present needs requires incorporating traditional customs. There’s a sense of anticipation of being able to perform one’s best skills. This can be satisfying to the Aquarius in each of us that is often wrapped up in its own energy, exhibiting an air of self-sufficiency. Aquarius does, however, grant others equality. This sign is often referred to as the brotherhood sign. Commonalities are respected. April 5 Friday With this Aquarius Moon networking may get us into the flow of improving some habit. Keeping cool can create a path to magical encounters. We may get energized by some strange connections. At 11:21 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course until tomorrow morning. While she is leaving the avenues to progress of Aquarius, we may feel like retreating to care for inner needs not met by external circumstances. Minds can change easily during this unreliable period. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. April 6 Weekend At 10:36 am, MT, the Pisces Moon entered her balsamic phase when it’s best to pause and see if any new behavior has the vitality to endure while we turn our attention inward to feel what’s percolating. Daydreaming with the hints of something new brewing can be stimulating. This evening Venus and Mars come together for a flirtatious flair with something or someone that wants cultivating. On Sunday we may think and feel as if we can create just about anything. There may be expectations of everything being good and pleasant. And if it isn’t, the Pisces part of us can easily retreat into an insular idealized world. B
