First Quarter and Gibbous Moon

Monday July 15 The Libra Moon has an organic radar for accommodating and arriving at the point of perfect harmony. Sometimes this leads to automatic, repetitive behavior, and sometimes to fresh new approaches. Today variety and changes are appealing. Such yearnings prompt decisions to start developing a way to balance some lifelong emotional reactions. Libra thrives on meaningful improvements, but can turn a blind eye on the negative aspects of life. The Libra which shrewdly avoids anything unpleasant is on a merry-go-round which always stops at the same scrappy emotional mess. A different scenario is possible. Tuesday July 16 We have a void of course Libra Moon which entered her first quarter phase last night. This morning we may be daydreaming about how an ugly situation can be transformed. At 8:24 am, MT, the Moon moves into regenerating Scorpio with encouragement to explore new emotional responses for recurring situations which have repeatedly triggered the likes of anxiety, depression, or anger. All pervasive converging forces urge us to develop ideal ways of dealing with these emotional surges. Active imagination can melt away the frozen conditioning and allow us to see and accept the roots of it and begin to access a greater reality. Wednesday July 17 With this Scorpio Moon intuition offers inventive ways to develop new aspects of behavior which are being brought to the center of one’s attention during tense situations. Keeping open lines of communication can provide information crucial to one’s future. Emotional floodgates are wide open as three outer planets: Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune converge like three rivers spreading idealizations and their concretization, as well as pipe dreams, illusions and unclear boundaries. These converging forces trigger emotional surges which are near impossible to withhold, no matter the social circumstances. Thursday July 18 The Scorpio Moon went void of course at 5:12 am, MT, for over six hours. While she is releasing the competent team efforts of Scorpio, we can share dreams of how to make the best of things. Such exchanges can lead to a clean, clearer vision. At 11:54 am, the Moon moves into the generous and communal realm of Sagittarius. Through social interactions which share spiritual and emotional needs, the crux of a problem can come into clear focus. Unseen factors come into form. Sagittarius looks for the truth rather than the facts, and in the process deep insights are gathered. Friday July 19 This Sagittarius Moon brings concerns about the purpose of producing a vision, especially when that process leads to emotional vulnerability. At 7:45 am, MT, the Moon enters her gibbous phase when all sorts of energy is needed to pull together everything related to one’s perception of past family conditioning in order to understand the whole cultural impact of it. Liberating insights are available. Sagittarius can be accompanied by many relics of our heritage. Weekend July 20 The Sagittarius Moon went void of course at 8:59, MT, this morning revealing the residues of our cultural past. Mysterious yearnings appear as Mercury switches to direct motion at 12:22 pm. And at 12:39 pm, the Moon moved into authoritative Capricorn, testing our emotional resilience. Anxiety, even panic, can come to the surface. It’s hard to mobilize; it’s like walking in a vat of molasses. On Sunday at 9:53 am, the Moon goes void of course until Monday noon. Pondering our roots and the patterns they instilled in us can bring up information about frustrations encountered when trying to break away from pessimistically-oriented conditioning.
