Balsamic to New Moon

Monday May 26 With this balsamic Taurus Moon comes a sense of prodding along peacefully in calm, yet kinetically busy, surroundings. Images are walking through our minds groping for attention. Some of them can be the seeds of a re-interpretation of a behavior. As the day wanes the hidden contents of our minds seem to magically take shapes, activating the non-linear, irrational thoughts our imaginations play with. The Taurus in us is well-equipped to arrange and re-arrange material, seeking to produce something ideal, which is mostly based on a concept of paradise. Today the observer in us seems somewhat set apart, removed. Nevertheless, we are moved by a cheerful disposition. Tuesday May 27 The Taurus Moon is void of course until late tonight. While she is dusting off the steadfastness of Taurus, we may be swept away with uncertainty and cling blindly to the status quo while longing for that perfect world existing in our thoughts. Today it’s easy to escape the inertia of the way things are by dwelling in an imaginary realm. For some this could be romantic idealization or sensuous enjoyment of nature. Something new is brewing within us. Peace and quiet offers the security the Taurus part of us luxuriates in and finds conducive to imaginatively shaping a reality aligned with our values. At 10:47 pm, MT, the Moon moves into impatient, forward-looking Gemini. Wednesday May 28 With this Gemini moon we begin the day comparing the many individual ways in which people give to each other. The new Moon at 12:40 pm, MT, brings an intuitive extension of such exchanges to the dynamics of situations where inequities exist, such as in those assigning greater privileges to people, based on authority positions, class, or income brackets. There can be a muddled or confused view about this subject. Fantasies about ideal conditions can also get in the way of examining present conditions and addressing them realistically. The horoscope indicates a need for us to stand up and be counted by voicing our beliefs differently from in the past. As the day wanes, fresh and original impulses on how to do this arise. Thursday May 29 The Gemini Moon is void of course until tomorrow morning. While she is fanning off the associations and vociferous protests of Gemini, a vivid imagination feeds off emerging contents of our subconscious minds. The needs of one’s social family may stand in the way of collecting information which can form a full picture in one’s mind of a satisfactory framework for balancing the divisions of human roles. Illustrations of this form in one’s mind, but old structures repetitively appear, blocking fresh ideas. We may seem to be encapsulated in a reduced rational capacity. Yet inspiration flows regarding issues of universal considerations, as well as, a steady current of visionary thoughts. Friday May 30 At 8:13 am, MT, the Moon moves into Cancer’s realm of securing self-interests. The Cancer part of us tries to fit in and wants to be accepted by those close. This morning our unconscious mind and our reasoning mind mix together, probing us to seek compatibility and membership differently than our usual way. Assisting us with this is the opportunity to get an overview of our participation in group dynamics and the issues looming in those situations. Images storming our minds can suggest new things to try. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. Weekend May 31 and June 1 This Cancer Moon favors sticking with the past over breaking away via some original means. It is, however, advantageous from the mind’s eye to free oneself from old emotional ties to certain behaviors. We can rise to the occasion and adopt a path toward providing for an important need. The Moon voids herself of the intense feelings of Cancer after midnight until Sunday evening. This coincides with a vivid imagination on Sunday, which can unleash us from reality. We can be emotionally out of touch in social encounters. There can also be uncertainty about detaching from certain old social habits and developing those that foster a longing for more equitable connections. The Moon moves into risk-taking Leo at 7:43 pm, MT, Sunday.
