Gibbous and Full Moon

Monday December 1 The ever-ready-for-action Aries Moon revs up for opportunities to re-arrange social dynamics. Unusual groups are especially attractive. There’s a strange sense of security amidst a display of unpredictable behavior today. Aries has a knack for figuring things out on one’s own and surviving threats in dire circumstances. Self-discipline is enhanced, and problems can be handled with skill. Aries can often be like a novice, experimenting and learning through a series of firsts. Today, however, street wisdom permeates the wild side of this sign. There’s a burst of vitality which makes the Aries part of us stand out in the densest crowd. Tuesday December 2 Along with this Aries Moon come many urges to search for experiences which promise to be thrilling. At 2:36 pm, MT, the Moon enters her gibbous phase when it’s important to stay focused on priorities. That might not be as easy as it seems. Many ideas or plans pour into our heads, distracting us from the social and spiritual direction of this lunation. One’s attention needs to be harnessed to how we gather with others and share common experiences. It’s important in such situations to notice how we face feelings of wanting to withdraw and explore a different adventure. At 7:42 pm, the Moon begins to void herself of bold Aries for two and half hours before moving into steady and secure Taurus. Wednesday December 3 The Taurus Moon presents opportunities to ground our social spirit. It suggests that the glitzy world of material goods comes and goes and is not as enduring as possessing a sense of connection with others. Such a feeling can come today if one is willing to help those in tough circumstances. In fact anything which is worth doing and supports one’s ideals can build community today. The simplest task done and the weightiest problem solved contribute to how people fit together. The Taurus in each of us can methodically work and accumulate a list of accomplishments with true value. The talents of Taurus are often used with family or country in mind. Thursday December 4 This Taurus Moon reminds us of the value of generosity, an important component of social ties. Giving to others is the pearl of great worth, especially in situations in which it is a brave gesture with unknown consequences. By examining the different facets of benevolence, including the motivating intention, we might discover a new way of being. Today is full of surprises, not all of them serendipitous. But if we create more positive imaginings, the results may be advantageous for our network of friends. Those relationships get a boost of energy this afternoon when Mars enters Aquarius. By the end of the day we can realize just how much we are rejuvenated by our companions. Friday December 5 The Moon moved into mimicking Gemini early this morning. It seems that many social encounters mirror what one is feeling and thinking, raising questions about how one gets one’s message across to others. This quick understanding and comprehension can actually relieve tensions and foster courage to initiate a new level of interaction. The Gemini in us can make concentrated efforts to bring together all the information needed for innovation. And Gemini is a natural social organizer for structures that respect each individual’s rights. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. Weekend December 6 and 7 At 5:27 this morning, MT, we had a full Moon, beginning four days of revelations about how we relate to members of a common group in regard to sharing views, bouncing understandings off of each other, and simply comparing recollections of shared experiences. Such exchanges help one decide on what to let go of, what to hold back on, and what to face squarely. Early Sunday morning the Moon voids herself of ever-learning Gemini, and at 10:34 am, she moves into the sustaining influence of Cancer. With a focus on questioning one’s social experiences, one might rely emotionally on a companion to explore one’s social terrain. Converging forces suggest examining the universal appeal of chosen groups.
