Full and Disseminating Moon

Monday January 5 The full Cancer Moon is void of course all day. While she is washing off the personal, comforting pleasures of Cancer, we may find it hard to relax. There’s an air of uneasiness today that can make us feel like we’re missing something. There can be illogical anxieties about inexplicable uncommon happenings. Encounters with others can feel invasive. If possible, it’s ideal to retreat into an invisible shell and carry on a dialogue with one’s soul about emotions being experienced. And perhaps find the middle ground between self-indulgence and ministering to those in need. Thoughts about the instability of social structures flow through conversations. Tuesday January 6 The Leo Moon comes up against strong forces this morning that trigger questions about personal experiences against the backdrop of world struggles. There’s the opportunity to evaluate one’s spiritual attunement not only to personal instinct but also to social conditions. The state of one’s expectations relative to one’s commitment to social obligations is taking shape. Sudden realizations can burst into awareness about how we deal with tense shared conditions that can reveal some essential patterns in our behavior. The level of accompanying emotional pressure can be a help or a hindrance to making changes. Wednesday January 7 Intuition is highly active with this Leo Moon. While reflecting on how one satisfies personal needs and those of others, neon signs in one’s mind can flash on simple truths about what to do for self and for those less fortunate. It’s possible to see one’s role in the matrix of humanity in a totally new way. Healing techniques of dealing with problems are taking shape. Scenarios of this can be played out in one’s imagination. The Leo in us can envision unique ways of generously serving the common good. We can also see whether or not this part of us gets over-inflated when motivated by humanitarian causes. Thursday January 8 With this Leo Moon we can draw together all the realizations about how we get recognized for our authenticity and social performance when it comes to solving problems or taking the lead in a new direction. At 10:04 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course for almost six hours of stomping out the playful delights of Leo. During this very creative time, no matter what we are doing, we can add spice to it by pretending we’re in a make-believe world with magical powers for completing tasks and fulfilling dreams. The Moon moves into miracle-loving Virgo at 3:58 pm, and we can marvel at accomplishments and be inspired by the structural forces at work. Friday January 9 The Virgo Moon entered her disseminating phase last night. Today we may notice in a new way how we take charge of a situation. It’s time to start letting go of any unproductive habit related to our social participation. We might suddenly recognize a destructive streak in our motivations to direct group dynamics. The meanings and assumptions of deep entanglements begin to unravel in the ongoing drama of our relationships. Critical evaluation of our connections and exchanges can bring about new possibilities in our social engagements. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. Weekend January 10 and 11 The Virgo Moon is void of course all day since 8:45 am, MT. We may feel insecure about our work or ideas this Saturday. Virgo’s clearly defined agendas, or the best-made plans, seem to dissolve into confusion, leaving one emotionally vulnerable. The day’s vagueness produces dissatisfaction unless one surrenders to a process of considering whatever shows up as an opportunity to be mined. Sunday morning at 4:57, the Moon moves into collaborative Libra. There can be intimations of being onto something new, worth sharing with someone. Self-revelations in such an exchange can reveal some special traits and perhaps lead to discovering something excellent.
