First Quarter and Gibbous Moon

Monday February 23 The Taurus Moon reflects satisfaction with an imagination of being able to move beyond the inertia of just surrendering to the status quo. Resistance to pursuing recent impulses can melt away. It can be a struggle to perceive plastic social poses and dismiss them, but taking the effort to see them can reveal much about the hidden side of our assumptions. We can become ablaze with confidence at recognizing shortcomings in public displays. Trusting personal perceptions can produce heartfelt concern for others. At 7:57 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course until tomorrow night. This evening takes on a dreamy nature. Tuesday February 24 The Taurus Moon is void of course until tonight. While she is sweeping off the stamina of Taurus, it may seem like we’re clinging blindly to habitual modes. Anything outside of the norm is easily rejected. There may be a temporary suspension of pursuing impulses of the past week. It’s best to think of today as a detour, getting one off-track only for awhile. There is, however, a treasure trove of intuitions or intimations which twinkle brightly in the dark spaciness of the day. These hunches can help to overcome inertia. They can draw us closer to a transcendent view of humanity. At 9:54 pm, MT, the Moon moves into the multi-faceted world of Gemini. Wednesday February 25 With this Gemini Moon we can become aware of deeper emotional and collective factors which test our philosophical perspectives. There is much to be fire up about as the result of extracting valuable material from hunches over the past few days. At 10:14 am, MT, the Moon moves into her first quarter phase, when we are asked to stop comparing and contrasting what has been happening recently and decisively contact our inner wellspring of wisdom to clear something up. Things appear differently giving us new areas to explore. There’s a burst of energy infusion available to keep on an ideal path. Thursday February 26 The Gemini Moon is void of course all day! While she is ticking off the ideas of Gemini, our minds may feel like sieves letting every thought float away. There are moments when our words seem lost in the universe, and our interests are on hidden things. External stimuli can be overwhelming. Our outlook can be limited today, as we are encapsulated in a world of our own. Yet it’s difficult to settle on anything for long periods of time. Intuition, however, can be rich today, offering all sorts of tidbits which can easily get scattered and hard to collect if we don’t take the time to write them down. Friday February 27 The Moon moves into overly giving Cancer at 5:50 am, MT. Responding to our inner needs will take honesty, toughness, and self-care. It’s easy to sublimate personal requirements to attend to social conditions. We can chip away annoyances triggered by others and take charge of all that goes on within one’s personal territory. Handling the demands of the day can strengthen our emotions and steel our nerves to endure any obstacle. If we tackle the hard stuff early, we can flow smoothly through the rest of the day. Weekend February 28 and March 1 The Cancer Moon goes void of course at 10:53 am, MT, until Sunday afternoon. We may feel moody, preoccupied or withdrawn most of Saturday. It’s a dreamy day with blurry edges, an ideal time to curl up and escape into a good book, a movie, or music and talk on your favorite radio station. On Sunday morning at 8:01, the Moon enters her gibbous phase. It’s time to search for missing information related to how we deal with inconsistencies in our behavior towards cultural standards. At 4:34 pm, the Moon moves into improvising Leo, and our ability to tie things together into a bigger picture takes center stage.
