Balsamic and New Moon

Monday April 13 With this Aquarius Moon we may need to strengthen our confidence in following the dictates of an ideal while recognizing the differences between our individual willingness to do so and getting others to join in. There’s a compelling sense of purpose in influencing a social group along with a feeling of letting things go. It will take some exceptional trust in intuitions to find the right balance between surrendering to what is and actually doing something to create better conditions. The Aquarius in us is determined to improve the world, even if that means just making some inner changes. For all the quirky reputation Aquarius gets. This sign can display lots of pragmatism. Tuesday April 14 This Aquarius Moon is accompanied by thoughts of not fitting in, of being outdated. The Moon goes void of course at 1:45 pm, MT, for a half hour of evasive, yet extremely creative perceptions. At 2:12 pm, the Moon moves into all-inclusive Pisces, and at 4:52 pm, Mercury moves into Taurus, putting the brakes on taking in more than is needed. In order to be in a truly sharing state this afternoon, we need to be closely aware of the hidden things that might be behind weird experiences. Our rational minds need to accept that there’s more to life than just what our physical senses perceive. Wednesday April 15 With this Pisces Moon we may feel like we’ve floated into a current heading in the same direction as a chosen ideal. At 6:59 am, MT, the Moon enters her balsamic phase in which everything we’ve learned keeps us on the path of following this specific standard, allowing it to flow through the whole matrix of our being and gently encouraging it. There’s renewal on this evolutionary quest. At 3:37 pm, the Moon goes void of course until tomorrow afternoon. It’s best to stick with the flow of things, as the atmosphere takes on strangeness. Connecting with others is easiest if done intuitively or emotionally. Rationalizing can produce perplexity. Thursday April 16 The Pisces Moon is void of course until mid-afternoon. It’s best to be reserved and cautious about getting involved in anything during this time. We can be too easily impressed now, and later become disillusioned. We can merge easily with ideas and take ourselves to be something we are not. At 3:00 pm, MT, the Moon moves into adventurous Aries, insatiable for new experiences. The Moon, however, is still in her balsamic phase and taking any tempting action can be foolhardy. There are standards to uphold and doing that requires assessing boundaries and obstacles. Friday April 17 With this Aries Moon we may need to divorce ourselves from the past to deal with tension arising from over-attachment to former events and/or individuals. It’s an action-packed day which will take single-mindedness if everything on the agenda is to be accomplished. There can be a tendency to over-do things today along with some unexpected rabble-rousing. Aries can be restless and impatient to get things done, thinking only of speedy progress. Other people involved may not benefit from inflated expectations of Aries. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. Weekend April 18 and 19 The Aries Moon entered her new phase at 12:57 pm, MT, beginning a cycle addressing how we attune to our inner voice and the truth when it comes to being in harmony with our ideals and values. At the time of the new Moon, she also went void of course, and uncertainty has taken over. At 3:31 pm, the Moon moves into trustworthy Taurus. We may then be more willing and attentive to tackling an honest appraisal of how aligned we are to the values we espouse. On Sunday there are opportunities to put things and people in our lives in a new context, based on the underlying core principles we live by.
