Last Quarter and Balsamic Moon

Monday July 6 With this Pisces Moon we can wash away tensions while digesting what we’ve learned recently about trusting. There are lots of ways to rely on others when there’s something lacking, or to be the one counted on for help and kindness. The Pisces in us can be all-accepting and motherly. Pleasant feelings can be accessed throughout the day by resolving opposites. There’s joy in the harmony that follows. Today let’s discover the middle ground between constructive and destructive. There are things to let go and things to keep. We need to approve of both with discrimination. Emotional generosity can balance most ills. Tuesday July 7 This morning’s Pisces Moon can be easily gullible and unsure whom to trust. Yet we can feel the higher unity behind all of reality and bring forth archetypal patterns in our behavior and experiences. The Moon goes void of course at 8:36 am, MT, for two hours of blurring the boundaries between physical and psychic occurrences. Automatic responses can take over. At 10:37 am, the Moon moves into bold Aries. Assertive activity takes over to get what needs doing done. We can put things in new contexts, reinterpreting them to bring out potential. The day is busy actively weaving tasks into a coherent whole. Wednesday July 8 With this Aries Moon comes a quality of being super-tuned into what is happening on many levels. Some of that is grounding; some of it disheartening. Mental perception spices up from purely rational to seasoned with infused sensitivity, as Mercury moves into Cancer. The Moon enters her last quarter phase at 2:24 pm, MT, when recent insights shake up our consciousness and demand front and center attention. These realizations have to do with a core internal pattern of self-affirmation. Something inside wants to blast forth into a new mindset. Today there’s a drive to chase rainbows, if only for the feeling of being uplifted. Thursday July 9 There are hopeful beginnings for a pleasant day on this Aries Moon morning. The Moon goes void of course at 7:47 am, MT, for six hours of steaming off the vigorous energy of Aries. During this time it might be impossible to get anything done. It’s ideal to follow hunches. At 1:49 pm, the Moon moves into constructive Taurus. Things start to unfold naturally as our minds open to new terrain. Thoughts of everything we touch turning to a golden pleasure entice us to trust in the core essence of why we are alive! We need to find the Taurus part of us out there in our given surroundings and know it by its sparkle! Friday July 10 With this morning’s Taurus Moon we may be tempted to take the easy way through the day. And it can go smoothly if we pursue a good cause and take care of common needs. We may, however, feel obligated to do a death-defying powerful thing if not today, sometime soon. Today, we can sense the major shifts going on worldwide and follow how there is an essential change within our perception. This may require bitter honesty and a stronger trust in negative impressions. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. Weekend July 11 and 12 The Taurus Moon’s earthly wisdom can bring many things together today once we work out tensions. At 3:52 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course for over two hours of shaking off the pleasantries of Taurus. All of nature can stimulate a wonderful imagination during this time. At 6:16 pm, the Moon moves into the ready-wit of Gemini. Early Sunday morning the Moon enters her balsamic phase when many issues and viewpoints need to circulate through the curious Gemini mind to envision some new social possibilities. Sunday morning can be a dream-like escape from previous plans. Restlessness and instability mark the rest of the day. There could be lots of surprises.
