First Quarter and Gibbous Moon

Monday November 16 The Capricorn Moon may guide our thoughts into sublime matters this morning. There’s the right environment for retreating into a haven perfect for organizing one’s beliefs about life’s supposed hierarchies. We can penetrate beneath patterns of honoring stations or roles and get something of common value in all living beings. At 1:53 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course until after midnight. While she is bulldozing off the expectations and obligations of Capricorn’s earthly power, conflicts may arise about what ought to be the case in situations. Responsibility and ethics get muddled, and confusion takes over. On the inner planes, however, there can be productive dreams. Tuesday November 17 With this Aquarius Moon there are rebellious feelings which can lead to leaving a project or field of activity to start over. Strange thoughts surface in our minds about the inner workings of the human psyche. It’s possible to interact with hidden roles of the many sub-personalities of one’s make-up. Magical thinking may come up with rich and incisive information about the inner life. Throughout the day there can be sudden flashes about attitudes regarding socially acceptable exchanges on one’s inner state of being. Some of these insights may explain the alienation some people feel. Secret levels of identity seem to be pushing their way out into the open. Wednesday November 18 The Aquarius Moon brings weird vibes of difficult untruths spewing through minds this morning as the planet Neptune appears to be standing still to change to direct movement this morning. Understanding comes with a combination of rational thought and intuition. Tonight at 11:27, MT, the Moon enters her first quarter phase when a clear choice is needed as to how to deal with one’s inner resources in a different way. This suggests a new approach to one’s inner realm that can renew its vitality. In the dark hours of tomorrow morning the Moon voids herself of Aquarius’s disenchantment with the externals of daily life. Thursday November 19 The first quarter Pisces Moon is not entirely clear which inner voices to heed. The key is to act on one, and, if necessary, chose behaviors which seem safe and not vulnerable. We can be highly impressionable this afternoon. It’s best to be surrounded by a soothing, supportive environment to maintain inner balance and well-being. Our emotional bodies can be like a sponge soaking in both the highs and lows surrounding us. Such hypersensitivity can be overwhelming, but it can also bring a compassionate understanding of what others are going through if we are truly grounded in our own individuality. Friday November 20 Intention is very important with this watery Pisces Moon. It can be the container for directing one’s sensitivities. And a useful focus for the day is to keep attuned to one’s bodily rhythms when intuition is indicating a shift in activity, which may help to loosen up things. Through a process of elimination one can learn about personal preferences when there are many choices. This can enhance one’s sense of personal power. We can pull together many skills to align with a central need today. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. Weekend November 21 The Moon moved into single-minded Aries this morning. There are indications of how fired up we get with our inner imaginations. We can identify quickening desires and how to maintain them. On Sunday morning at 8:26, MT, the Sun moves into the independent mind of Sagittarius, and at 9 am, the Moon enters her gibbous phase when a need arises to play along with what is developing by using a technique that comes naturally or simply that works even if it is incongruous with one’s nature. The intention is to create a sense of catching the flow of inspiration in our being. At 12:16 pm, the Moon goes void of course, snuffing out energetic Aries until Monday morning.
