Balsamic and New Moon

Monday December 7 At 4:26 am, MT, the Moon moves into the difficult to digest truth of Scorpio and two minutes later enters her balsamic phase when all that has been perceived and understood during this cycle about inner guidance needs to be taken in and used to envision ways of performing cooperative projects, both within oneself, as well as with others. There are deep longings, almost to the point of obsession to probe into the darker closets of one’s mind and bring forth more of oneself to share. There are exceptional sensitivities to emotional undercurrents today, which can be used to collaborate with others creatively. Tuesday December 8 With this Scorpio Moon there can be secret investigations about what kind of joint efforts are needed to improve a bad situation. There are many attractions and distractions today, and tendencies to include them all in any deliberation. At the end of the day the more we know about all the encounters since the morning, the more we’ll understand about the kind of teamwork which we’ve been developing for the past few months. Scorpio can be very private about relationships as if they are highly personal, but at the core of these interactions there’s a sense of how they are a collective affair. Wednesday December 9 The Scorpio Moon is void of course until mid-afternoon. While she’s cleaning off the messy complications of Scorpio, we might take a close look at how fantasy might be a big component of some of our desires. There can be a thin distinction between fantasy and illusion, and our feelings can play a huge role in deciphering and eliminating problems with this. At 3:25 pm, MT, the Moon moves into Sagittarius and the realm of hidden assumptions. Sometimes we misinterpret intuition because we’re working off of baseless or misinformed assumptions. Rationality, however, is strengthened this evening when the planet Mercury moves into Capricorn. Thursday December 10 With this Sagittarius Moon what you believe in will guide you step by step. As the day progresses, sudden self-realizations will lead to sorting out feelings about past behaviors. There can also be flashes of rash actions and flares of anger. Beneath turmoil, however, can be optimism about ideals. A part of us is hopeful that inner guidance will deliver what is expected. This Sagittarius area works intuitively and is capable of profound insights. It has access to as yet unborn facts, fostering a broader awareness, but there can be a tendency to look for easy gains and shortcuts to happiness, gambling on getting what’s desired. Friday December 11 At 3:29 am, MT, we began a new lunation with the Sagittarius Moon. This cycle is about getting our act together either with others or with inner parts of ourselves or with both. We may feel like we’re putting ourselves on the line, taking on this new challenge of following the impulses flaring up from our subconscious mind. At 9:06 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course for over fourteen hours of smothering truth-seeking Sagittarius. During this time we may feel ill-at-ease and unable to cope. In such a case, the Sagittarius thing to do is back out of involvements. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. Weekend December 12 and 13 With this Capricorn Moon hidden influences bring inspirations worth embracing. We may feel like taking on a needy case with added responsibilities. There are strong urges to protect the vulnerable. On Sunday morning things seem chaotic and unpredictable. Tempers may flare, and inhibitions can be tossed aside. Feelings want an outlet, and hurdles can be surpassed with alertness. Lots of will power is available to be courageous. At 4:07 pm, MT, the Moon goes void of course until Monday morning. During this time on Sunday our urges to get things done may be ignored. Self-discipline is weakened, and there’s vulnerability to self-doubt. Artistic visualization, however, can be strong.
